Released in February of 1991, Python is a high-level, general-purpose language. It emphasizes an object-oriented approach to programming. In other words, it allows developers to write clear clode for projects of any size.

Python is used for many things. It helps build the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX, or backend) for websites and applications. It helps to automate various tasks for applications like FreeCAD and Excel. Additionally, Python can be programmed to conduct data analysis.

Should you Learn Python in 2022?

Needless to say, Python is a a stable and versatile programming language. The questions is it something you should learn in 2022? The short answer is yes. Here are a few reasons why you should take on this development tool.

The Fastest-Growing Language

By far, Python is the fastest-growing language today. It continues to grow in popularity by different types of developers. In 2020, during the height of the COVID pandemic, the software company TIOBE named it the top programming language of the year.

One reason for this is its usefulness in data. It’s simplified language helps to create programs for machine learning (ML) and airtificial intelligence (AI).

Built for Beginning Programmers

The main reason people don’t want to learn how to code is the structure of the programming language. For example, C++ and Assembly Language (ASM), and even JavaScript don’t follow standard reading and writing concepts. This isn’t the case with Python.

One of the core concepts the creators of Python wanted to implement isin concise and reasy to read material. Thus, lines look something like “sum = num1 + num2” with the values of num1 and num2 defined ahead of time.

Another item the Python creators implemented is interpreted programming language. This permits developers to run each line of code to see if it works. To put it another way, there’s no need for corresponding code for the operation. In the end, this is makes Python a huge return on investment when it comes to time allocation.

Developers are in High Demand

Since Python is so versatile it’s used across industries. For instance, a sole-proprietor business might need a developer to create an app. Meanwhile, a large corporation needs Python developers to schedule tasks that compile and store data.

Due to this, Python developers are in high demand. This is especially true as more oganizations move toward a digital-only infrastructure. Generally, Python programmers are the fourth-highest paid after those who know Rubgy and C++ languages.

Open-Source Versatility

Python is an open-source programming languaged approved for use in an Open System Interconnection Model (OSI). In other words, it’s compatible with a computer network as well as the devices it supports. The open-source model makes the language free to distribute and use even in the commercial world.

On top of this, it allows programmers to develop tools that help speed up application and website designs. Perhaps they have something that creates a default UI interface. In another instance, a developer might create a scheduleing tool that’s generated once you fill in the necessary variables. Currently, there are 125,000 libraries that feature pre-written code.

With Python being open-source there’s a large community that has grown around it. This group of programmers is available when you need questions answered. Many of them are found in the 1.5-million GitHub repositories.

Free Training

The good thing about Pythons open-source status is there are numerous online locations that offer free training. Some of these contain video classes while others walk through interactive slides. If one class doesn’t seem to help you, there are others that fill in the blanks.

Many of these are free for you. Nevertheless, you might have to pay a registration fee if you need a more comprehensive course to learn everything possible.

As you see, there are several benefits to learning Python in 2022. Now it’s your turn to to take the needed steps. Python programmers are despartely needed for even the smallest tasks. So, don’t hesitate learning this versatile language. You’ll be programming apps for clients and yourself before you know it.

Jakob Andersson

Hej mitt namn är Jakob och är 41 år gammal. Jag gillar att skapa saker i CAD. Använder mest FreeCAD och Fusion 360, men har testat de flesta CAD-program. Jag programmerar också i c#, python och Java. Skapar även appar i Android. Tycker även om fraktaler och att fotografera. Långa promenader i naturen är också skönt.
